We Believe the Bible Teaches:
- About God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:16-17)
- That the Bible is the inspired word of God. (II Timothy 3:16-17)
- That Jesus Christ is the Son of God. (Matthew 17:5)
- That we cannot add or take away anything from the scriptures.(Revelation 22:18-19)
- That all scripture is profitable. (II Timothy 3:16-17)
- That the Bible is the only source to understand the will of God. (Colossians 1:9)
- That there has not been or will there be any further revelations of God’s will. (Jude 3)
- That we are living in the Christian dispensation, and that the Law of Moses is not binding upon us. (Colossians 2:13-14)
- That we are saved by the grace of God, in that He has provided a means of our salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
- We may fully accept God’s grace or we may reject it. (Titus 3:11-12)
- If we reject His grace, we will be lost. (Romans 4:1-6; 6:1-2)
- If we accept His grace, we will be saved if and only if we obey His will. (John 1:12-13)
- By obeying His will, we must believe in the salvation that He gives us through His Son’s death, burial, and resurrection. (I Corinthians 15:1-4)
- We come to believe by hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
- Believing, we must turn away from any and all sin in our lives. (Mark 16:15-16)
- We must confess that Jesus is the Son of God. (Matthew 10:32)
- We must be baptized (immersed) for the remission of our sins. (Acts 2:38)
- We must worship God as He gives us instructions in the scriptures. (John 4:24)
- We assemble to worship on the first day (Sunday) of the week and other appointed times. (Acts 20:7; Hebrews 10:24-25; Revelation 1:10)
- We worship God in all decency and order. (I Corinthians 14:40)
- We partake of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week. (Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 11:23-34)
- We give of our means on the first day of the week. (I Corinthians 16:1-2)
- We sing (acapella) songs. (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16)
- We offer up prayers to God. ((Matthew 6:9; Romans 10:1)
- We hear God’s word proclaimed. (II Timothy 4:1-5)
- We must live our lives in accordance with the will of God. (II Corinthians 5:9-10)
- Even after we have received salvation, if we start living a sinful life we will be lost. (Luke 13:1-5; Galatians 5:4; Revelation 2:5)
- We cannot live perfect sinless lives even after we have received salvation. However, if we walk in the light confessing our sins, and asking God’s forgiveness, the blood of Christ will cleanse us. (I John 1:7)
